OUR MOTHER’S HOME

 

Our Mother’s Home is a program for keeping teen foster mothers and their children together, breaking the foster cycle, teaching transitioning skills, and overcoming histories of abuse. Sixteen teen mothers who are under the age of eighteen and their children live at the home. Thank you for donating $40.00 cash, toys, paper products, clothing, wipes, baby food, personal products and oral health care products.


ACT ABUSE SHELTER

Many thanks to those of you who donated to the ACT shelter at our January meeting. Shampoo, body lotion, Clinique make-up samples, toothbrushes, toothpaste and a monetary donation were delivered for the shelter on January 16, 2010.

HEADSTART/WIC

662 tubes of toothpaste and 750 toothbrushes were delivered to Amy Barnes, R.N., M.A., Health Manager, Early Childhood Learning Center on March 12, 2010.

Many thanks to the RDH's who donated their time for the 2011 Smile Day on Saturday, February , 2011: Amalia Cuervas, Megan Porter, Stacy McLaughlin, and Lisa Yeatter. It was an extremely successful day!

During the 2011 year, 840 tubes of toothpaste, 60 toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, and clothes were donated to the local ACT shelter from the general membership.

GCDHA was represented at the 2011 Summer Special Olympics in Orlando at the Wide World of Sports by Stacy McLaughlin.
